A traffic violation led to the arrest of two people on drug charges Saturday evening.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, a deputy pulled over a pickup truck for a traffic violation on Little Avenue. The driver, 41-year-old Joseph Colella of Paducah, reportedly had a suspended driver's license.

A vehicle search led to the discovery of a digital scale with methamphetamine, and a passenger, 34-year-old Tabatha Ward of Paducah, allegedly had a syringe with meth in it.

Colella and Ward were arrested and taken to McCracken County Jail.

Colella is charged with disregarding a stop sign, driving on a revoked license, no registration, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ward faces charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
