Semi Crash Still Blocking Hwy. 286

UPDATE: Kentucky Highway 286 is still closed as of 11:00 pm. Ballard County officials say it will probably remain closed until about 12:30 am. Crews are still off-loading the truck and it has to be uprighted and removed from the scene.

 A semi tractor-trailer crash has blocked Kentucky Highway 286 near the Ballard-McCracken County line.

According to the JP Roberts Traffic page on Facebook, the crash happened just after 5:00 pm. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported the closure about 6:30 pm, saying the road would be closed for several while the trailer's cargo is offloaded. The tractor and trailer will then be removed.

Drivers should use US Highway 60 as an alternate route.
