Semi Rollover Slows Traffic on I-24 West

Westbound traffic on I-24 between exits 7 and 11 is reduced to one-lane by an accident involving a semi-tractor trailer. 

The accident near the 8.5 mile marker was reportedly caused by a blown tire. Traffic is reportedly backed up for several miles on the westbound lanes. 

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says the westbound on-ramp at exit 11 is closed, and both westbound lanes may temporarily be closed before the scene is cleared.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area. U.S. Highway 62 is a possible detour route around Paducah.
