Six people face various charges after an investigation into alleged prostitution activity in Paducah.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says they got complaints earlier this month about possible prostitution and illegal drug activity in the area. During their investigation, undercover detectives responded to "escort" ads on a website and agreed to meet women and pay for sex.

Detectives cited 35-year-old Danette Watson and arrested 35-year-old Jermine Sydnor, both of Hopkinsville on Sept. 8. Watson faces prostitution charges. Sydnor is charged with promoting prostitution and possession of marijuana.

On Sept. 19 they arrested 23-year-old Sarah Taber of Paducah for prostitution. They arrested 38-year-old Jamie Pritchard of Old Hickory, TN the following day for prostitution. Police said Pritchard was driven to a location in Paducah by 41-year-old Edward Godsey of Ashland City, TN. During the investigation detectives said they found Heroin in Godsey’s vehicle and he admitted using the drug. Godsey was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies also arrested 41-year-old Sandy Johnson Thursday afternoon on prostitution charges.
