The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said that on January 4, someone broke the side window out of the victim's vehicle and stole a purse containing multiple credit/debit cards from a vehicle in the 4500 block of Clarks River Road.
Later the same evening, the suspect used one of the victim's stolen credit cards at Kroger on Park Avenue to purchase a prepaid credit card. The suspect also attempted to use two other credit cards stolen from the victim, but the transactions were declined.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'9" tall with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a white logo and dark denim pants, and was driving a newer model, possibly 2016-2018, white Chrysler Town and Country mini-van with a black luggage rack. The vehicle did not have a visible registration plate and may have possibly had a temporary tag in a window. The van was also driven by a second individual with a large build wearing a grey jacket.
