Students signing up reached almost 160 during the first day of Paducah Symphony's first-ever Summer Music Camp.

Registration took place Monday morning at 8:15 at the Clemens Student Center at West Kentucky Community and Technical College.  Parents and students, instruments in tow, lined up at registration tables to sign in and get the first day underway.  In all, there are almost 160 students in attendance, well above the original first year goal.

There will be student showcase concerts on Friday, June 21st that are open to the public.  Half day students will perform from 11 am – noon and full day students from 1-3 pm. The students are working very hard to prepare the music for showcase and are also working on aural skills and music theory each day. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
