Teen Wanted on Murder, Arson Charges Arrested

Police in McCracken County have arrested a Georgia teen who was wanted in an arson and murder case.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and U.S. Marshals arrested the 16-year-old Thursday afternoon, after a detective learned from a deputy U.S. Marshal about a residential arson investigation in Monroe County, Georgia where two bodies were found.

Deputies arrested the teen after stopping a vehicle later that afternoon in the parking lot of a gas station on John Puryear Drive. 

Detectives said they found evidence inside the vehicle that was later turned over to Georgia authorities.

The teen's name was not released due to his or her age.
