Teens Injured in I-24 Crash with Semi

Two teens were hurt Monday afternoon in a crash on I-24.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded at around 12:25 p.m. to a crash on I-24 West at the 12 mile marker. Deputies said a semi tanker driven by 59-year-old Michael Mercer of Kevil was stopped in traffic due to another crash when another vehicle, driven by 16-year-old Paige Story of Mayfield struck him in the rear.

Story and her passenger, 16-year-old Charolette Harrington of Benton were both taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
