Three Arrested after McCracken Traffic Stop

Three Paducah residents were arrested Wednesday night after a traffic stop.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle at around 10 p.m. at the intersection of South 16th Street and Joe Bryan Drive.

Deputies said they searched the car and found synthetic marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine. They also reportedly found a handgun on the the driver, 24-year-old Christian Childress, who is a convicted felon.

Childress was charged with possession of synthetic drugs, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and disregarding a stop sign. His passenger, 22-year-old Jade Cunningham was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. His other passenger, 43-year-old Candice Kelley, was arrested on two outstanding McCracken County warrants for bail jumping and contempt of court.
