Three Charged in McCracken County Shooting

Three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting Wednesday morning in McCracken County.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies responded shortly after 12 a.m. to a report of a shooting at a home in the 200 block of  Misty Lane. The caller said someone had shot the homeowner, 36-year-old Justin Stamper, and then fled the area. A deputy arrived and began first aid on Stamper, who had a gunshot wound to his chest. 

Deputies identified 33-year-old Jonthan Stephens as a suspect, and later located him by his truck at a mobile home park on Vasseur Avenue. Deputies also found a pistol and ammunition in his truck. Deputies said Stephens admitted to his involvement in the shooting. He was arrested and charged with 1st degree complicity to assault.
 
With help from the Kentucky State Police and the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, detectives located two other suspects in the shooting, 20-year-old Caitlin Croft of Benton and 26-year-old Josh Spoonamore of Paducah.
 
Spoonamore was arrested on unrelated warrants. He reportedly admitted to his involvement in the shooting during questioning. He was charged with 1st degree complicity to assault. Croft was also interviewed and charged with 1st degree complicity to assault. 

Stamper was taken to the hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition.
