Three Hurt in Accident at Hwy. 45 Intersection

PADUCAH - An two-vehicle accident Friday morning on U.S. Highway 45 injured three people.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded around 7:45 am to the intersection of Highway 45 and Old Highway 45. Their investigation determined that a car driven by 22-year-old Austin Bright of Mayfield pulled into the path of a pickup truck driven by 70-year-old Gary Johnson of Humboldt, Tennessee. 

Bright and his passenger, 26-year-old Angel Rodriguez of Paducah, were taken by Mercy EMS to Mercy Health for treatment of their injuries. A passenger in Johnson's truck, 70-year-old Nancy Johnson of Humboldt, was also taken to Mercy Health for treatment.

Old U.S. Highway 45 was closed for about an hour until the scene could be cleared.
