Three people were injured in a crash Sunday afternoon in McCracken County.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says the two-vehicle collision happened around 3 pm at the intersection of Old Mayfield and Krebs Station roads. Deputies said 38-year-old Angel Smith of Paducah was traveling west on Krebs Station Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection.

Police said Smith crossed the path of a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Louie Gonzales of Paducah, who was traveling south on Old Mayfield Road. Gonzales was unable to stop and struck Smith, which caused her vehicle to overturn off the road. Smith was trapped inside the vehicle until emergency personnel arrived on scene.

Smith and her two passengers, 21-year-old Anthony Thurston and 20-year-old Christina Woodford, both of Paducah, were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
