Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Benton Man

A Friday morning traffic stop led to drug charges for a Benton man.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at approximately 12:40 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Clark's River Road near the intersection of Wayne Sullivan Drive. 

During the course of the stop, contact was made with the passenger, 49-year-old Jack Boros, of Benton. Deputies searched the vehicle and reportedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside a bag belonging to Boros. 

Boros was placed under arrest and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. He's charged with  possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
