A traffic stop late Tuesday night resulted in drug and other charges for a Paducah woman.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at 10:15 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Brandi Powell, of Paducah..

According to deputies, Powell was operating her vehicle under the influence of intoxicants. A search of the vehicle revealed a straw and a glass pipe containing a quantity of methamphetamine.

Powell was placed under arrest and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail charged with driving on a DUI suspended license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs – 2nd offense, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, possession of open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
