Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on Old US-45 in McCracken County.
At 4:38 p.m. Tuesday, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department responded to a collision with injuries at the intersection of Old US Hwy 45 and Lebanon Church Road.
According to police, Nicole Alexis, of Paducah was traveling East on Lebanon Church Road when she came to the stop sign at Old US Hwy 45. Alexis stated that she looked both ways and did not see any other vehicle. Alexis then pulled into the path of Arthur Reed, of Boaz.
Reed was traveling South on HWY 45. He said that he saw Alexis stop at the Stop sign and then she pulled into his path. Reed said he could not avoid the collision.
Reed’s vehicle caught on fire do to damage sustained in the crash.
Alexis and her passenger, Ken John Mendiola, of Paducah were taken to Lourdes hospital for treatment of their injuries.
All occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
