Two men were arrested on drug trafficking charges after a vehicle they were in was stopped by police on Friday.

Twenty-eight-year-old Tre Jefferson and twenty-six-year-old Trezon Diamonte Wilson were stopped Friday in the 1400 block of Park Avenue, near Jefferson's home. Officers say they found 27 hydrocodone pills, a small amount of marijuana, and several hundred dollars in cash on the men.

Detectives then served a search warrant on Jefferson's home and vehicle where they allegedly found more than 75 suspected  oxycodone/fentanyl pills.

Jefferson and Wilson were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl derivatives).

Jefferson was also charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (opiates) and possession of marijuana.

Both men were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
