Two Paducah teens have been charged with stealing items from a vehicle.

The Paducah Police Department says a resident in the 3300 block of Central Avenue called police at around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, after hearing dogs barking and seeing someone inside his vehicle.

Officers arrived to find the car with an interior light on. Less than a block away, they found two teens, aged 16 and 17, who matched the description given by the resident. One of the teens reportedly had several items the resident said were taken.

Both teens were cited on charges of misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking and curfew violation. They were released to their guardians.
