The West Kentucky Stars basketball club at West Kentucky Community and Technical College will begin its season Wednesday evening with a Pink-Out Celebration to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The celebration kicks off at 5 p.m. with a tailgate party hosted by WKCTC's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Student Life Committee. It is free and open to the public. There will be free food and yard games.

The game begins at 7 p.m. in Haws Gym when the Stars take on Lindsey Wilson College. Tickets are $5. Children under ten get in free. Anyone wearing pink at the game will get a free bag of popcorn.

A special free-throw shooting contest for first-fifth graders will take place at halftime.

Students who attend the tailgate party prior to the game can also enter a drawing for a $100 gas card. The drawing will be held at the end of the game and students must be present to win.
