For years, western Kentucky residents have been a part of the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child, which helps millions of children in need through gift-filled shoeboxes. On September 19, a person who received a shoebox will tell her story, and how the ministry's outreach has come full circle.

Operation Christmas Child invites everyone to hear an amazing story about God’s transformational love from Dania Yadago, and how God used a shoebox gift to greatly impact her life.

Subjected to severe poverty, Dania Yadago and her family lived in three Middle Eastern countries while growing up. Dania’s family prayed for everything they needed, and one year they prayed for a very specific thing. That year, Dania received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift, and as her family looked at each item in the gift, they shrieked and celebrated as they pulled out the direct answer to their prayers. That day Dania learned that with God all things are possible and there is power in prayer.

To hear more about how the Lord answered Dania’s prayer through a shoebox, come hear her story in person. She will speak at 6:30 pm at Lone Oak First Baptist Church, 3601 Lone Oak Road.
