The wreck happened at 11:30 am, near the 9500 block of Woodville Road. The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said 80-year-old Leon Elrod, of West Paducah, was traveling west when for unknown reasons his vehicle left the north side of the roadway.
Elrod's vehicle struck a concrete culvert as he
re-entered the roadway, which caused the vehicle to overturn. His
vehicle than slid across the road, struck a mailbox and came to rest
in the roadway.
Elrod was transported by ambulance to an area
hospital for treatment of his injuries.
