The city of Paducah shared a progress update for the Bob Leeper Bridge project on Monday.

When finished, the 110-foot-long pedestrian bridge will cross Perkins Creek at the northwest corner of Stuart Nelson Park and link the Greenway Trail to the McCracken County trail loop. The Greenway Trail is now over 5 miles long and the McCracken loop is 1.5 miles long.

The bridge follows an abandoned rail bed of the Chicago-St. Louis-New Orleans Rail Company, and should be ready for use by walkers, joggers and cyclists this fall.
