Mississippi man faces DUI charge after crash in Graves County

A Mississippi man was charged with DUI following a crash in Graves County on Tuesday.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to KY 303 and KY 94 for the report of an intoxicated driver. Deputies searched for the vehicle for almost an hour but were not able to locate it. 

A deputy remained in the area and was notified of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of KY 97 and Swan Road, south of Tri-City. The deputy was able to identify the vehicle and the operator to be the vehicle of interest from the earlier call.
 
The driver, 71-year-old Michael D. Florez of Falkner, MS, was found to be heavily intoxicated and was placed under arrest for DUI, along with an outstanding warrant for a 2011 DUI.
