Murray man arrested after allegedly trying to grab a couple of kids

A Murray man was arrested on Friday after police said he tried to grab a couple of kids who didn’t belong to him.

Murray Police were called just before 3:45 p.m. Friday to an apartment complex about a suspicious person who was thought to be drunk. The man, 26-year-old Dawson McCoy of Murray, was also suspected of trying to get a couple of small children that weren’t his to go off with him. Those children were able to break free from McCoy and get away.

Police arrested McCoy and charged him with attempted kidnapping of a minor and alcohol intoxication.
