One man injured after shots fired in Paducah

Paducah police are investigating after a man was sent to a hospital following reports of shots fired on Friday night.

Officers responded to several calls about shots fired nearthe 2700 block of Trimble Street. While officers were en route, they noticed a black SUV drive at a high rate of speed toward Baptist Health Paducah.

When officers arrived at the hospital, they were notified that a man had entered with a gunshot wound. The victim was later transported to an out-of-state hospital.

Officers found several shell casings in the roadway of Trimble Street.

Detectives ask that anyone with information about the incident call the Paducah Police Department.
