I-24 at Massac/Johnson county line back open after 9-hour blockage

I-24 was closed at the Massac/Johnson County line for about 9 hours on Thursday afternoon by an overturned semi.

Illinois State Police had to divert traffic from the interstate at Vienna.

The wrecked semi was finally cleared from the roadway at about 8:30 p.m.

There was no report of injury or the circumstances of the crash.
