Paducah woman charged with assault; victim sent to out-of-state hospital

A Paducah woman is behind bars and another woman was transferred to an out-of-state hospital after an assault on Tuesday.

Paducah police began their investigation after the victim was taken to a Paducah hospital.

Officers said 23-year-old Ayonce Townsley went to a house on Guthrie Avenue, where a fight between multiple people happened.

Witnesses reported seeing Townsley holding an unknown object. The victim told investigators she felt a sharp object hit her eye while fighting Townsley.

Townsley was charged with assault.
