According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, winds have dropped sufficiently to allow for the ferry to operate safely. The ferry resumed normal operation at 1 PM.
The Cave-In-Rock Ferry connects Kentucky 91 with Illinois Route 1 across the Ohio River between Crittenden County, KY, and Hardin County, IL.
