I-24 Bridge Inspection Creates Lane Restrictions

The Interstate 24 bridge between Paducah and Metropolis will have restrictions for most of this week and next week.

The Illinois Department of Transportation says crews are performing their bi-annual inspection of the bridge, so lane restrictions will be in place from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm each day, Monday through Thursday, March 4-7, and again March 11-14. 

Crews are inspecting the westbound lanes this week and eastbound lanes next week. Reduced speeds and some delays may be anticipated.
