Metropolis Police arrested a man on Thanksgiving Day after they got a call about a suspicious person at a home.

Officers went to a home on East 11th Street after someone reported a man coming to his door twice and asking about a person who doesn't live in the home. An officer spotted the man walking down the middle of East 13th Street and impeding traffic.

Police recognized the man as 38-year-old Donnie D. Kindle of Karnak, and knew there was a warrant for his arrest from Johnson County on burglary and property damage charges.

Kindle reportedly ignored numerous requests to stop, but finally complied when told he would be tazed. While being arrested on the warrant, a search revealed a syringe and methamphetamine.

In addition to the warrant, Kindle was charged with walking in the road, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Massac County Detention Center.
