Two people were arrested on drug charges in Massac County after a traffic stop Saturday morning.

The Massac County Sheriff's Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle at around 4 a.m. in the 1900 block of Ferry Street. The driver of the vehicle, 35-year-old Xavier Smith of Paducah reportedly had an active Massac County warrant and a suspended driver's license.

Deputies arrested Smith and a passenger in the vehicle, 50-year-old Jena Martin of Metropolis, after she was found with drug paraphernalia on her.

During a search of the vehicle, more than 18 grams of Meth was found, along with a digital scale and cash.

Smith and Martin were booked into the Massac County Detention Center.
