Police Arrest Man After Reported Property Damage

A man was arrested Friday on charges related to drug possession and property damage.

A person reported to the Metropolis Police that 24-year-old Jonathan B. Harris broke the windshield and mirror on a Chevrolet Impala and broke out the side window of another vehicle, both of which belonged to the victim. Harris was also allegedly seen throwing a cigarette package towards the victim which reportedly contained Alprazolam pills. Police say a search led to discovery of more pills inside a pill bottle for a different prescription, which was in Harris' pants pocket.

Harris was then arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center. He was charged with criminal damage to property and possession of a controlled substance.
