On Saturday, Metropolis police pulled over a vehicle for reportedly not having their headlights turned on. Police say that after speaking with the driver, 39-year-old Jason Leach, that his driver's license was revoked and a strong smell of cannabis was coming from the vehicle. After a search of his vehicle, officers reportedly seized a bag with 6.5 grams of cannabis.
He was taken to the Metropolis Police Department for processing, and released after posting bond a short time later.
He is being charged with driving on a revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and improper container transporting cannabis.
