Three Charged in Carbondale Assault Case

Carbondale Police have found three men suspected to be involved in a Saturday morning assault.

On Sunday, the City of Carbondale Police Department got a report of a battery. Officers said they later learned that on Saturday at around 12:00 am the victim was walking in the 500 block of South Rawlings Street when he was attacked. The victim returned home and was later treated at a northern Illinois area hospital for serious injuries.

Officers and Detectives later identified and found three suspects involved in this incident. Police arrested 26-year-old Darrion D. Jake, of Cape Girardeau, MO, 28-year-old Ternell Albritton, of Carbondale and 43-year-old Robert E. Glass of Carbondale.

Jake was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and mob action. Albritton and glass were charged with mob action. All three individuals were taken to the Jackson County Jail.
