Three people suffered life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle rollover accident in Union County on Monday.

Illinois State Police said that an SUV with three passengers rolled several times and caught fire on I-57 near the 35-mile marker.

All three occupants were able to make it out of the vehicle. The driver, 58-year-old Robert Criss, and a passenger, 38-year-old Hildarea Criss, were airlifted to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A second passenger, 54-year-old Frederick Baker, was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

All three individuals are from Louise, Mississippi.
