Cleanup efforts in tornado-ravaged portions of Harrisburg might have to take a pause for more severe weather forecast for the area, but the outlook doesn't appear as ominous as first thought.

A day after a twister killed six people in the town of 9,000, the National Weather Service's Jayson Wilson said Thursday night the likelihood of southern Illinois seeing a twister-spawning supercell is looking increasingly less likely. Wilson still urges people in the region to remain vigilant, given the unpredictability of severe storms. But he says the greater areas of concern will be portions of Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana.

Wednesday morning's destruction came as part of a storm system that killed 13 people in four states.
