US 60/62 Mississippi River Bridge Now Open

The US 60/62 Mississippi River Bridge at Cairo is now open, after being shut down for over a year for needed repairs.

The Illinois Department of Transportation says the bridge is open to all vehicles with a maximum gross weight of 40 tons and a maximum axle weight of 10 tons.

State highway officials say they appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation during this time.
