Woman Arrested after Reporting Robbery at Hotel

A Vienna woman was arrested Saturday, after police say she falsely reported a robbery at a Metropolis hotel.

The Metropolis Police Department says 52-year-old Sherry Dodge of Vienna called 911 from the Baymont Inn and reported she had been robbed in the lobby. Officers responded and talked to other guests, who told them nothing had happened. 

Dodge reportedly called 911 again and said the people who robbed her were in her room. Officers forced their way into the room and found her inside, alone.

Dodge was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. She was booked into the Massac County Jail.
