Two men arrested on drug charges in Princeton after welfare check

Two men were arrested on drug charges Tuesday morning in Princeton after police were called to check on the men. 

According to WPKY, Princeton Police went to the American Inn just off US 62 about 1:15 a.m. after a report of two men allegedly passed out in a running vehicle. Officers said they could smell marijuana as they checked on 36-year-old Donald Taylor of Dawson Springs and 43-year-old Jesse Simmons of Evansville. 

A search is said to have uncovered methamphetamine and marijuana in Taylor's possession, while Simmons also reportedly had meth in his. Both men were arrested and charged with meth possession. Taylor was also charged with DUI and marijuana possession. Simmons was additionally charged with public intoxication.
