One of our warmest Christmas Days ever is on tap next week.
Saturday and Monday will return to above normal in the 50s, with a dip to 48 on Sunday..
Temperatures will rise at least 10-15 degrees above normal by Tuesday with an early outlook of 65 degrees, and even in the 70s for some spots by Christmas Day.
Paducah's record high on Christmas Day is 74 degrees, set in 2021. That's the same year as the record Christmas Eve high of 70 degrees.
The warm temps bring along a daily chance of sporadic light rain showers next week, especially across eastern portions of the region.
The latest 8-to-14 day outlook calls for warmer than average temperatures all the way into the new year.
