A Murray woman was arrested on Sunday after calling 911 claiming to be assaulted and held at gunpoint.

Sunday afternoon at about 2 p.m. Calloway County Sheriff's deputies went to the home of 55-year-old Valerie Blair who said another individual in the home had physically assaulted her and put a gun to her head. Deputies said that when they got there, the two people were still there but were separated. In the course of investigating the case, the deputies came to believe that Blair wanted the other person to leave her property, but had not been assaulted.

Their findings indicated that while Blair did not seem to have been assaulted, she allegedly threatened and assaulted the other person. She was charged with making a false report that generated an emergency response, which is a felony. Blair also faces charges of assault and terroristic threatening.
