Democrats are unhappy that newly revealed Internal Revenue Service documents show the agency also screened for progressive groups seeking tax-exempt status as well as tea party groups and conservatives.

Democrats also want to know why the Treasury Department inspector general who investigated the IRS' targeting of conservative groups didn't mention that terms like "Progressives" and "Healthcare legislation" were on the same lists agency workers used to target applications for close scrutiny.

IRS documents released Monday by congressional Democrats show agency screeners also looked for terms including "Medical Marijuana," "Green Energy Organizations" and "Paying National Debt."

The documents don't show how many of those groups were involved or how the IRS treated them. The agency has already apologized for subjecting dozens of conservative groups to lengthy investigations and intrusive questionnaires.
