PADUCAH, KY/ TAMPA, FL - Paducah businessman Richard Grana is in Tampa, Florida this week attending the Republican National Convention.
He says that uncertainty about the weather on Monday delayed some convention business until Tuesday, but everything seems to be back on track now.
"...It's gonna be a long day today. We'll do some of the different motions and nominations, and the rules committee. There's a rule change that I believe we'll have quite a discussion on that too."
Grana says that, while Kentucky rules regarding selection of delegates are clear-cut, there are other states such as Maine and Oregon which he says have rules that are more "ambiguous," adding that there are "so many types of small details that they may not administer them correctly or some other problem. And then you've got two groups vying for the same delegates."
The Republican Convention continues through the week, while the Democratic National Convention is scheduled for next week in Charlotte, North Carolina.
