A magnitude 2.5 earthquake was reported in southeast Missouri Tuesday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, the quake was centered 8.8 miles southeast of Sikeston, and 35.4 miles west of Union City, TN. It occurred at 5:29 a.m.
The USGS says that a quake of 2.5 is the threshold of humans being able to detect the ground shaking.
No damage has been reported from this earthquake.
