The first, a magnitude 2.5 was reported Saturday night, and the second, a magnitude 1.7 occurred on Sunday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, the Saturday quake, at 10:24 pm, was centered 1.7 miles east/southeast of Holland, and 17.6 miles southeast of Kennett.
The Sunday quake, at 7:53 am, was centered 3.9 miles east/southeast of Marston, and 26.1 miles south of Sikeston.
The USGS says that a quake of 2.5 is the threshold of humans being able to detect the ground shaking.
