Two small earthquakes have been reported in southeast Missouri, Friday and Saturday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, the first quake was centered 1.9 miles southwest of Lilbourn, and 21 miles south of Sikeston. It occurred Friday at 3:01 pm, and measured 2.0.
The second quake, measuring 2.2, was centered 12.7 miles south southeast of Alton, and 52.4 miles west southwest of Poplar Bluff, which is near the Missouri-Arkansas border.
The USGS says that a quake of 2.5 is the threshold of humans being able to detect the ground shaking.
No damage has been reported from these earthquakes.
