Child endangerment charges have been filed against the mother of 3-year-old boy from central Illinois who authorities say was beaten to death.

The Pantagraph reports that 22-year-old Danielle Fischer of Normal faces two counts of endangering the life or health of a child. The charges were filed Saturday. Fischer's bond is $500,000. The boy, Robert Cramer, was pronounced dead March 26 at a hospital in Normal. The coroner said the boy died after suffering abdominal injuries due to blunt force trauma.

A phone listing for Fischer was disconnected.

First-degree murder and aggravated domestic battery charges previously were filed against 23-year-old Nicholas Compton in the boy's death. His bond is $1 million.
