Testimony Continues at Drew Peterson Trial

CHICAGO, IL - Testimony at former police officer Drew Peterson's murder trial has resumed after legal drama threatened to end the trial before it barely started.
Prosecutors called a paramedic to the stand Thursday just after a judge decided not to declare a mistrial. The judge admonished prosecutors for making several errors. But he said they didn't stop Peterson from getting a fair trial.
Louis Oleszkiewicz (oh-lees 'KAY-vich) described arriving in 2004 at the home of Peterson's alleged victim — Peterson's third wife, Kathleen Savio.
He addressed prosecutors' contention Peterson staged the bathroom where Savio was found so it looked like she died accidentally. He said a towel in the bathroom that appeared in an investigation photo wasn't there when he was in the home later.
Peterson has pleaded not guilty.
