More Than 300 Vehicles Stranded on I-24

Two companies with the Kentucky National Guard have been activated to rescue more than 300 vehicles with people stranded in snow since last night on I-24 in Western Kentucky.



Lyon County Judge Executive Wade White indicates he and Judge Lee Wilson are taking food and water to the stranded motorists. 



I-24 remains closed in both directions throughout much of Western Kentucky.  Road graders are being used to help clear the roadway.



It is unknown if the people on I-24 will be rescued, and vehicles left behind to be towed later, as is the case on other interstates in Central and Eastern Kentucky.
