Bars in Kentucky can reopen today (Tuesday). But you'll need to take a seat.
Governor Andy Beshear issued new orders for bars and restaurants as the state continues to battle COVID-19.
They can open at 50% capacity. However, all customers must be seated -- no congregating at the bar.
"We want everyone to stay seated, whether in a restaurant or a bar," Beshear's Chief of Staff LaTasha Buckner said. "You should be at a table with your group or your household, and there should be six feet of space in between each of those tables."
"There's no congregating at the bar," Buckner said. "So if a restaurant or a regular bar has a bar area, service should still be at the tables. No one should be congregating."
All food and drink service must stop by 10:00 p.m. and bars and restaurants must close by 11:00 p.m.
All staff and customers must wear masks.
