There will be one less hour of sleep on Saturday night, but longer daylight hours will result, as Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 am Sunday morning.
Most people set their clocks ahead one full hour at bedtime on Saturday night, to avoid being late for work or church on Sunday morning.
Daylight Saving Time will continue until November 1st, when Standard Time will return.
The time change is also when homeowners and businesses are encouraged to change the batteries in smoke detectors.
